Every officer of a club signs in with an email and a password, and every officer login holds full admin rights. This page covers how a login is made, how to hand the club to the next treasurer, and what to do when nobody is left who can sign in.
Who can sign in
There is no signup form. Annuaro creates the club's account and invites its first officer by arrangement with the club. After that, any admin of the club invites the next one from inside the club's own pages.
An officer signs in on the "Sign in" page. Type your "Email" and "Password" and press "Sign in". If the two do not match, the page says "That email and password combination did not work."
The same page has a second door, headed "Members". A member gets a one-time sign-in link by email instead of a password. The member logins page covers it.
Accepting an invite
- Open the invite mail and press the link in it. You land on a page headed "Almost there".
- Press "Continue". The link works exactly once.
- On "Set your password", type a password of at least 8 characters under "New password", type it again under "Repeat it", and press "Save password".
- You land on "Your clubs". Press the club's name. Nobody else ever sees or sets your password.
If the link has expired or was already used, the page says so when you press "Continue". Ask the admin who invited you to grant admin to your address again. That sends a fresh set-password mail.
Granting admin to the next person
- Open the club and press "Admins" in the links under the club's name. The "Admins" section lists every admin's "Email" and "Admin since" date.
- Under "Grant admin", type the next person's email and press "Grant admin".
- The page confirms. A new address: "Invite sent to name@example.com. They set their own password." An address invited before that never used its invite gets a fresh set-password mail, and the notice says they are now an admin. An address that already signs in to Annuaro: "already has a login; they are now an admin of this club."
If the person is already an admin, the page says "That person is already an admin of this club."
Revoking admin
Every line in the "Admins" table ends in a "Revoke admin" button. Your own line is marked "(you)". Press the button and the page says "Admin access revoked." The club keeps every record; only that person's way in changes.
To hand the club over, grant admin to the next person, wait until they have signed in once, then press "Revoke admin" beside your own email. You land on "Your clubs".
If the club's subscription has ended, grant and revoke wait like every other change until the club renews.
The last admin
A club always has at least one admin. If you press "Revoke admin" on the only one, the page refuses: "This is the club's last admin. Grant admin to someone else first." We recommend every club keeps at least two admins, so one lost password never locks the club out.
Forgotten passwords
Press "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page, type your email, and press "Send set-password mail". The reply is the same whether or not the address has a login: "If that address has a login, a set-password mail is on its way. Press the button in the mail to choose a new password." The mail leads through the same "Almost there" and "Set your password" pages as an invite.
To change a password you still know, press "Sign out" at the top of any page, then use "Forgot your password?".
If the last admin is gone
When the only admin has left the club, or nobody who holds a login can be reached, write to hello@annuaro.com. Tell us the club's name and who should hold the login. We restore access to a person the club's board names in writing, and that person accepts an invite like any other.
