A member of a club on the Club plan can sign in to Annuaro without a password, see their own record and dues, and keep their contact details current. This page covers how a member signs in, what they see, what they can change, and what stays with the club's officers.
How a member signs in
There is no member password. A member signs in with a one-time link sent to the email address on their record.
- Open the sign-in page. The section headed "Members" reads "Members: get a sign-in link by email."
- Enter the address the club holds for you under "Email" and press "Send the link".
- The page answers "If that address belongs to a member, a sign-in link is on its way. Check your inbox." It says the same whether or not a link went out, so nobody can use the form to learn who belongs to a club.
- Open the mail and follow the link. The page headed "Almost there" reads "Press the button to continue. The link from your mail works exactly once." Press "Continue".
- The page confirms "You are signed in." Press "Continue" again to reach your record.
A link works once. If it has expired or was already used, the page says so. Go back to the sign-in page and ask for a new one.
A link goes out only when the address matches a current or former member of a club on the Club plan whose account is open. A member of a club on the Free plan cannot sign in, and neither can an archived member. The address must be the one on the record, so a member who hears nothing should ask the club which address it holds.
Your memberships
One address can belong to more than one club, and two people in a household can share one address. The page headed "Your memberships" lists every record the address reaches, one per line: the club's name, the member's name, and their status. Press a club's name to open that record. A member with one record lands on it straight away. An address with no open record reads "No member record is open for this email right now." The foot of every record page carries "Your memberships" and "Sign out".
What a member sees
The record page leads with the club's name. Under "Your record" are the member's "Email", "Phone", and "Emergency contact", then three lines: "Membership" with the status, "Renewal date", and "Paid through". A date the club has not set reads "not set".
Under "Your dues" is the balance, which reads "Owes" and the amount, "Credit" and the amount, or "Nothing owed", then every ledger line with its date, kind, amount, method, and note. Voided lines stay in the list, marked as voided. A member with no lines reads "No dues lines yet."
Under "Archive" are any columns carried over from the club's previous system, marked read-only, or the line "Nothing carried over from a previous system."
What a member can change
Email, phone, and emergency contact. Change the field and press "Save"; the page answers "Saved." The email is required, because it is the way back in, and the note under it reads "If you change your email, sign in with the new address next time."
What stays with the club
Everything else. The record page reads "To change your name or your membership, contact the club." A member cannot see other members, the officers' notes, or the club's own pages. They cannot add or void a ledger line, and nothing on their page takes a payment; dues by card go through the club's payment link, which has its own help page. When the club's own subscription has ended, the record stays readable and a save is refused. A member who wants no more of the club's mail uses the link at the foot of any reminder; the Renewal reminders page covers it.
